A party, panel discussion and art show will be held Tuesday at 7:00 pm, July 10 th , 2007 to launch the new 2,000 square foot Davis Photographic studio in Long Beach. The panel will consist of agency art directors, corporate marketing directors, photographers, photography professors and photo buyers. The panel topics will be:

• What is the place of 3-D digital imaging, and is it replacing photography in advertising?
• How important is style and personal vision when choosing a photographer?
• Is the use of stock photography growing or dying in advertising? Mega Pixels – what is enough?
• What is too much? Is film dead as a medium in advertising photography?
• What is a “good” photographer, and where do you find them?
• Are there too many photography students entering the field, and has photography become a commodity?
• How important is a photographer's input in executing a mocked-up layout?

Food, alcoholic beverages and soft drinks will be served, and door prizes will be awarded. Recent work from Davis Photographic studio will be displayed.
